I recommend to keep this file in another folder.

Thanks for the help!

In case it helps anyone else, my .ini file was found at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\XNote Stopwatch\xnsw1.ini(Windows 7 x64).

Using the /c=filename.ini method works perfectly.

Most likely you have not to use .xnsw files at all. .xnsw was designed to store time marks only.

It will be redesigned soon.

Out of curiosity, why aren't the visual settings saved in the .xnsw file?

Thanks!

Yes.

eug wrote:How do I generate an .ini file?

You need not to generate. File will be created at exit.

Hi,
I've got this same problem too . This is what I've done:

- Load up XNote Stopwatch with the Start menu shortcut
- Customize the font, colors, size, type (clock)
- Save it as Clock.xnsw, then close the program.

- Load up XNote Stopwatch again with the start menu shortcut (it loads up with the previous settings)
- Customize the font, colors, size, type (stopwatch)
- Save it as Stopwatch.xnsw, then close the program.

I now have two .xnsw files. I then double-click on Clock.xnsw. The clock loads up, but with the visual settings of Stopwatch.xnsw - the font, bg color, and size are all from Stopwatch.xnsw.

Now, when I load both xnsw files together, suddenly the default visual settings gets loaded up (Liquid crystal font, grey BG, default size). I then close both instances of XNSW and double-click on either one of the .xnsw files - the default visual settings always appear now. All my custom settings are gone. What is happening? Does saving the .xnsw file not save the visual settings?

How do I generate an .ini file?

Problems running more than one instance

Post by RRTimer » Thu Feb 10, 2011 8:05 pm

I'd like to be able to run two or three copies of Xnote Stopwatch at the same time. However, if I set one copy XNote with the fonts, colors and other settings I want, starting a second instance of XNote does not use the same settings (it reverts back to the default settings). How can I get all running instances of XNote Stopwatch to use the same settings?
